Apple announced iPhone 5 with A6 SoC, 4-inch display, 7.6mm Thin and LTE

Apple CEO Tim Cook and vice president Phil Schiller have unveiled iPhone 5 at Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. iPhone 5 has a 4-inch, 326 ppi retina screen comes with 1136 x 640 resolution, it is now a 16:9 aspect ratio, it is the same width of iPhone 4S, but taller.

It’s body is made of aluminium, it weighs 112 gm and is 20% lighter than the iPhone 4S, and is the thinnest iPhone yet at 7.6 mm thick. The new iPhone supports GPRS, EDGE, EV-DO, HSPA, HSPA+, DC-HSDPA and LTE, dual-channel Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Apple is going to debut iOS 6 with the iPhone 5 and the new OS includes Apple’s own Maps app, an updated version of Siri and lots more. Overall, the new iPhone 5 has been upgraded in almost all aspects.

The new iPhone 5 has 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p full HD video recording and aperture of f/2.4, 720p front-facing camera, Both the cameras are with backside illumination. The iPhone 5 comes in white and silver, or black and slate colours, and is available memory variants of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions. Apple has introduced a new 8-pin connector for the new iPhone 5, calls it Lightning.
