Amazon Announced 7 & 8.9‑inch Kindle Fire HD

Amazon unveiled the suc­cessors to its Kindle Fire, the 7‑inch and 8.9‑inch ver­sions of Kindle Fire HD, 7‑inch ver­sion comes with twice RAM of its pre­de­cessor, The 8.9‑inch ver­sion comes with 4G LTE sup­port.8.9‑inch ver­sion has 1920 x 1200 res­ol­u­tion at 254 ppi, powered by a dual-core ARM Cor­tex A9 OMAP4470 pro­cessor, dual ste­reo speak­ers (Dolby Digit­al Plus), a dual-band WiFi chip and two anten­nas for WiFi reception.

The 7‑inch ver­sion of Kindle Fire HD has been priced at $199 and will start ship­ping from 14th Septem­ber 2012. On the oth­er hand, the 8.9‑inch ver­sion will start ship­ping from 20th Novem­ber 2012 and priced at $299 for 16GB Wi-Fi only mod­el and $499 for the 32GB 4G LTE mod­el. Both ver­sions can be pre-ordered start­ing today.

The Kindle Fire HD 4G LTE ver­sion cus­tom­ers will be able to choose a new data plan from AT&T will give them 250MB data per month, 200GB cloud stor­age, and $10 Amazon cred­it for just $49.99 per year.
