AMD has announced two new 45nm dual-core desktop CPUs, the Athlon X2 250 and Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition.This is the highlight AMD has brought to Computex 2009.The Athlon X2 250 CPU features 3GHz clock rate with 65W power and L2 cache of 2MB.
The Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition features frequencies of 3.1GHz, 1MB L2 cache and 6MB L3 cache.The Black Edition CPU is unlocked for overclocking.
AMD is also planning to launch a DirectX 11 compatible GPU series for Windows 7 shortly.
