OPPO R5 launched in India priced at INR 29,990

OPPO R5, The thin­nest smart­phone at 4.85mm thick­ness is launched in India. The R5 priced at INR 29,990 and the pre-book­ing starts on 1^st Janu­anry 2015.

On spe­cific­a­tion front, OPPO R5 powered by a 64-bit Snap­dragon 615 octa-core pro­cessor paired with 2GB of RAM. R5 falunts 5.2‑inch Full HD(1920 x 1080) AMOLED dis­play total­ing 423ppi pixel desity. 

On ima­ging front R5 has 13-mega­pixel rear cam­era with PI 2.0 Plus Flash Shot tech­no­logy which has a focus time of 0.18 seconds. And a 5‑megapixel front facing cam­era. It has 16 GB intern­al stor­age and expand­able upto 128GB using microSD card.

The R5 sup­ports LTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The R5 is powered by a 2000mAH bat­tery which sup­ports VOOC rap­id char­ging tech­no­logy. Com­pany is claim­ing that 5 min- char­ging will give 2 hour phone call. and 30 minutes will restore 75% of the R5’s bat­tery. On the soft­ware front, it runs on Col­or OS 2.0, which is based on Android KitKat.

The smart­phone can be pre-ordered start­ing 1^st Janu­ary 2015, The com­pany has­n’t announced when it will start ship­ping the smartphone.
