The Note 4 came with 5.7‑inch Super AMOLED QHD display with 2560x1440p resolution. Powered by 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 quad-core or 1.9GHz Exynos 5433 octa-core (Cortex A15 1.9GHz quad-core + Cortex A7 1.3GHz quad-core) depending on region paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and powered by 3,220mAh battery.

Note 4 has 16-megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization while at the front, there is a 3.7‑megapixel camera and has a f/1.9 aperture. The front camera also gets a panorama mode to take group selfies. In the Galaxy Note 4, the heart rate monitor sensor also acts like a camera shutter button while using the front camera.

The phablet runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, wrapped under the new TouchWiz UI released with Galaxy S5. The S‑Pen is improved. The Note 4 features a fingerprint scanner and a heart rate sensor. Additionally the phablet also features an UV sensor. But the Note 4 lacks Water and dust resistance feature present in Galaxy S5.
