Service pack 1 for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Release to Manufacturing and to general public by February 22

Microsoft released the first service pack for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 to the OEMs. First, there’s February 16, the day MSDN and TechNet customers get SP1 and next it’s February 22, the RTW (release of web) of the update. The SP1 coming with improve networking, security and mobility. Improvements in virtualization are also expected.

SP1 will include RemoteFX which provides rich 3-D graphical experience for remote users on Windows Server 2008 R2 . The 1.2 GB SP1 contains patches and improvement till now released on windows update since release of Windows 7.
