Samsung launched 4G version of it’s latest flagship device Galaxy S5, called Samsung Galaxy S5 4G in India, The device powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. The device will be available at a price of Rs. 53,500 from July 20.
Galaxy S5 was launched 3 months back and the new Galaxy S5 4G is almost identical, except the processor, the new 4G device has Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz supports 8 4G LTE bands, compared to 3G version of S5 is powered by the Exynos 5 octa-core SoC (1.9GHz A15 quad-core + 1.3GHz A7 quad-core).
The rest of the specifications are same as 3G version of S5, 5.1‑inch Super AMOLED full HD display, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage with microSD card support, powered by 2800mAH battery. Galaxy S5 4G also comes with IP67 protection (Dust and Water Resistant), 16-megapixel rear camera, 2.1‑megapixel front-facing camera
On the connectivity options, it supports LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and IR Blaster. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat wrapped under Samsung’s new TouchWiz UI.
Samsung has tied up with Airtel to provide buyers with a 4G data plan. Users will get 5GB of data each month, for a period of two months. Samsung has also announced a Rs 10,000 upgrade offer for existing Samsung smartphone users.
Galaxy S5 4G will be released in Copper Gold, Charcoal Black and Shimmery White colour options starting from July 20.
