Samsung Galaxy S5 4G launched in India for INR 53,500

Sam­sung launched 4G ver­sion of it’s latest flag­ship device Galaxy S5, called Sam­sung Galaxy S5 4G in India, The device powered by Qual­comm Snap­dragon 801 pro­cessor. The device will be avail­able at a price of Rs. 53,500 from July 20.

Galaxy S5 was launched 3 months back and the new Galaxy S5 4G is almost identic­al, except the pro­cessor, the new 4G device has Qual­comm Snap­dragon 801 pro­cessor clocked at 2.5 GHz sup­ports 8 4G LTE bands, com­pared to 3G ver­sion of S5 is powered by the Exynos 5 octa-core SoC (1.9GHz A15 quad-core + 1.3GHz A7 quad-core).

The rest of the spe­cific­a­tions are same as 3G ver­sion of S5, 5.1‑inch Super AMOLED full HD dis­play, 2GB RAM, 16GB intern­al stor­age with microSD card sup­port, powered by 2800mAH bat­tery. Galaxy S5 4G also comes with IP67 pro­tec­tion (Dust and Water Res­ist­ant), 16-mega­pixel rear cam­era, 2.1‑megapixel front-facing camera

On the con­nectiv­ity options, it sup­ports LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and IR Blaster. On the soft­ware front, it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat wrapped under Sam­sun­g’s new Touch­W­iz UI.

Sam­sung has tied up with Air­tel to provide buy­ers with a 4G data plan. Users will get 5GB of data each month, for a peri­od of two months. Sam­sung has also announced a Rs 10,000 upgrade offer for exist­ing Sam­sung smart­phone users.

Galaxy S5 4G will be released in Cop­per Gold, Char­coal Black and Shim­mery White col­our options start­ing from July 20.
